Camping Grounds Tips

Do you like camping? Many of us are wondering what to do this summer now that the weather is getting warmer.

Camping is a popular activity, and many like to locate the best camping sites as early as possible in the season. It’s important to ask a few questions when calling a place to book a site, as not all of these camping grounds are good, and every site offers something different. Some sites are just awful, and it is always good to stay away from those. This is something that I learned all to well and I also learned it the hard way.

My husband’s band had a festival that they played every summer, and we would get free camping sites so that we did not have to drive back and forth if we decide we didn’t want to. This was great, but the campingsites they gave us were not always good. In fact, there were times when I was sure that they had reserved for us the worst sites on the camping ground. It might have been okay If we had been camping in a camper. But we were in tents, and there was no shade to speak of anywhere near our site. This meant that we were roasted out of our tent by eight in the morning. So much for my one chance to sleep in.
